WSU Cougar Bottle Opener

This was my final project for my machine shop class.

1. I traced the cougar logo outline and a handle onto a 1/16 inch steal plate.

2. I traced the 4 individual pieces of the cougar logo onto a 1/16 inch steal plate.

3. I cut all 5 pieces free hand using a plasma cutter.

4. I clamped each piece into a vise. Using an angle grinder I carefully shaped each piece and removed the dross.

5. I drilled 7 holes into the pieces that are raised using a powered drill.

6. I then plug welded the raised pieces to the bottom handle piece.

7. I then used an angle grinder to finish shaping and polished the final piece.
